In this lesson you will learn how to say the ordinal numbers in French (les nombres ordinaux). Ordinal numbers are counting words such as first, second, third, etc. In this tutorial I’ll teach you how to say first through tenth. Finally, note the writing system is a bit different in French. For example, while you write, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc., in English – In French you’d write 1er1/re for premier/première and 2e, 3e, 4e, etc. until tenth (10e).
