LEARNING FRENCH IS EASIER THAN YOU THINK!

Lots of people say that learning French is really hard. I disagree and here's why:

• There's only one word for to be: être. If you were learning Spanish you'd have to deal with two words for to be (ser and estar) and this can be very confusing.
• The past tense in French is easier than Spanish. In Spanish, there's different ending for each person and they sound the same as the present tense. French doesn't have this.
• When you reach advanced levels of Spanish the grammar suddenly becomes really hard. This does not seem to be the case in French.
• French is a Romance language and comes from Latin. Thus, many words are the same in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. If you know another Romance language then French will be really easy!
• About 40% of English is the SAME in French. Thousands of English words come directly from French or Latin. You'll be surprised by how many words are similar.
• Almost all higher-level English words that have to do with science, politics, medicine and other higher-level academic subjects are the very similar in French.
• Most adverbs (words that end in 'ly like rapidly) and process words (words that end n 'tion) are almost the same in French and English.
